I Choose

I choose is a way of thinking, a way of being present in the world.  We all have choices that we make everyday and many of us don’t realize how much we can shape the way me make those decisions.  The way we look at our feelings and impulses and how they in turn shape the way we think about our lives.  I Choose is a philosophy of self-empowerment that helps us realize the influences that direct our choices and how we can shape them to benefit our true needs in life.

I Choose. . .  It’s simple in theory, to choose the life I want to lead.  Make the choices that will lead to my greatest long term happiness.

I Choose, in practice is quite a bit more complicated.  it becomes the process by which choices can be made from a centered, grounded, and loving space.

The more I pay attention to choice as a subject instead of just an action.  The more I realize how complex and often influenced, even our simplest choices can be.  We make choices from our heart, our body, our past experience, as well as our mind.  And even when “I” believe that I’m making a choice with my head, it is rarely that simple.  This is why the practice of “I choose” must be developed in order to accept, identify and ultimately clear the weight of past experiences that prevent light and balanced choices now.  This is really only one of the first steps in the process of Co-Empowerment, the step of self-discovery and self-appreciation.  Once this practice is part of the daily experience, then the choices made during those days can have even deeper meaning, and lead to greater self-fulfillment.
